At Gastro Health – Framingham we provide in-office and outpatient services with your comfort and safety in mind.

Our outpatient procedures are performed at our affiliated hospitals, at Charles River Endoscopy and Boston Endoscopy Center. Both endoscopy facilities are modern AAAHC certified endoscopy centers and are staffed by anesthesiologists for your comfort and safety.

For those patients with more complex problems, we provide advanced endoscopic techniques at our excellent community affiliate hospitals for the treatment of:

  • Barrett’s Esophagus (Barrx Halo Procedure)
  • The treatment and detection of uncommon causes of GI bleeding (single balloon enteroscopy and Spiral Endoscopy)
  • Instrumentation of the GI tract, bile and pancreas ducts for the staging and treatment of stones and tumors (ERCP and Endoscopic Ultrasound)

Barrett’s Esophagus is typically the result of repeated exposure to stomach acid. It’s most often diagnosed in people with GERD. Frequent heartburn and chest pain are symptoms, however, many people with Barrett’s Esophagus have no symptoms.

Diverticulosis occurs when a pouch, also known as diverticula, in the lining of the digestive system form. These pouches in the colon wall do not cause symptoms and are usually found when other test are being performed. Diverticulitis is when these pouches become inflamed or infected. Causes of diverticulitis include genetics, environmental factors and obesity.
